Setting up Facebook Pixel

This document explains how to set the Facebook Pixel tracking, so bear with us and let's get it on.

How to set up Facebook Pixel app?

In order to do that simply go to the Integrations here and open the app. You'll find yourself at the following widget.

Logically, what you'll need to do here is to simply provide the Pixel ID in the required field and you'll be good to go.

If you're not sure where to find the Pixel ID, make sure to go to the Events Manager on your FB account and you'll se it there. Alternatively, check out this help document.

Now that you've pasted it to the widget inside the App Store, make sure to enable and save it afterwards and you'll be fine.

What is being tracked through Facebook Pixel app

Please note that you'll need to have your checkout hosted on your own domain if you are to be able to successfully track events through Facebook Pixel.

Integrating with the Facebook Pixel App is possible from inside the Integrations of your Subbly admin. With this installed, you will be able to track the following:

  • PageViews - total number of views on your site's pages (please note that this takes into account views of your page on your Subbly subdomain as well)
  • CompleteRegistration - fires an event when customer goes past the name and email step and creates an account in the db (doesn't have to finish the actual checkout)
  • AddPaymentInfo - fires an event when customer goes past the CC/PayPal step on the checkout and provides the payment source.
  • CustomizeProduct - fires when customer finishes the survey for the product on the checkout (if applicable).
  • Purchase - fires when the customer finishes with the checkout and reaches the success page of the checkout.

So what did you exactly do right now?

You set the Pixel to track the events stated above across your site's pages or the checkout.
