Setting up Facebook Login

Facebook Login allows visitors to use their Facebook profile to finish the checkout on your store's checkouts. This is much easier and faster than having to go through the process of regular sign up.

Setup steps

Before we start, please note that you are mandated to follow this process only if you are using a custom checkout domain. If you are not, then FB login will work by using Subbly's default auth, in which case, you don't have to take any additional actions.

The very first step would be to create an app and add a product to your Meta for developers account.

  • Go to your Meta for developers account dashboard and select Facebook login > Set up.
  • You will be prompted with the following screen, click on web and add your custom checkout URL and hit save.
  • From your left dashboard select Settings under Facebook login > enable Login with the Javascript SDK > add your custom checkout URL and hit save.
  • From your left dashboard select Basic under Settings and you can find your App ID and App Secret.
  • Go back to your Subbly admin, open up the Integrations and look for the Facebook Login app.
  • Click on Install & Configure, you will get the below page in which you will paste your App ID and App secret, enable the app and hit save.

That's it!

How Facebook Login works at checkout?

After following all the steps mentioned above, customers will be presented with the option to log in through their existing Facebook account at the checkout process.
