How to integrate with Klaviyo?

Klaviyo is one of the newest additions to Subbly's App Store! In order to integrate your Subbly account and product checkouts with Klaviyo you will need to provide some data from your Klaviyo account and paste the appropriate values inside the Klaviyo App Store page.

You are able to extract all the 3 from your Klaviyo admin.

First of all, you need to create a Klaviyo account

After you go through the initial steps of setting up your account with Klaviyo, you will be able to find the Public API Key and the Private API Key from Account > Settings > API Keys as in the picture below:

At last, in order to be able to extract the List ID where we'll send data for all your new subscribers, you will need to first create the list on your Klaviyo. To do that, you need to go to Lists & Segments > Create List / Segment as in the picture below:

After the list has been created, you can find the List ID by opting for the List Settings from the drop-down as in the picture below:From the following page, you will see the List ID, so feel free to copy and paste it to the App Store page.

Don't forget to save and enable the app when you're done pasting the info as well.

Congrats! You're done!

How to trigger Flows on Klaviyo when new subscribers are created

Flows on Klaviyo allow you to send out sequenced messaging and notifications to your audience with delays and timings set between messages. So using Flows - you can have a multi-touch email campaign go out to your new subscribers , after they sign up for a subscription on your store. This will let you maximise LTV from each of your subscribers, and help you engage with them and cross sell better.

Lets look at the steps involved in setting up triggers for Flows on Klaviyo.

  1. Log into your Klaviyo account, and navigate to Flows menu.
  1. Click on Create Flow button on the top right corner of the next page, and click on Create from Scratch, if you wish to design your flow from scratch. Add the relevant name and tags to the Flow when prompted, and then proceed with clicking Create.
  2. Under the trigger setup options asking what will trigger that flow - select List, and then proceed to choose the list you've integrated with Subbly from the drop down selector, and click Done.

That's it! You've now set up the flow to trigger whenever a new customer subscribes to one of your products. You can now proceed to set up the flow with emails and/or SMSs that get sent out to your Subbly customers when they get added to the flow.

How to embed Klaviyo forms on Subbly

If you're using Subbly's website builder, you can also add Klaviyo's embed forms to your website! You'll need to create the required form as an embed form within Klaviyo, and once you've done that, you can simply proceed to add the installation code and embed code to your website to add the form on Subbly.

Let's walk through the process, step-by-step.

  1. Once logged into your Klaviyo account, navigate to the Sign-up forms menu

  1. If you already have a published/drafted embed form within the forms menu, you'll find "Install Code Snippet" button on the top right corner. If you haven't created an embed form yet - you can create one from scratch, or choose from one of the templates on Klaviyo, but ensure to pick Embed form as the form type.

Once done, click on Install Code Snippet back in the Forms dashboard, and copy the code snippet that is shown, and add it under your Subbly website's Code Injection section(Dashboard > Site Settings > Code Injection), within before </head> tag field.

  1. Click on save, and that will install the Klaviyo forms script within your website! After you've added the code to the website, you can add your website link within the Install Code snippet screen on Klaviyo to check if the installation was successful.

  1. Now we need to get the form embed code(the code that actually places the form within your page). Edit the drafted form within your forms section, and click on Publish - this will reveal the form embed code which you can copy and add to your page.
  1. Now that you've copied the form embed code, head back into your website builder and navigate to the part of the website you want to place the form on. Grab the Custom HTML element, and place it on the page exactly where you'd like to display the form, name the form embed, paste the Klaviyo form embed code in there, and click Embed.

This will add the Klaviyo form to your Subbly website, and you can preview it on your live website as well.
