In the context of running the Subbly store, one of the most common use examples of setting up Google Tag Manager is setting up conversion tracking.

How to setup GTM?

GTM (Google Tag Manager) can be setup in a number of ways depending on what are you looking to track and how are you looking to use the Google Tag Manager. For beginner guide on how to setup GTM and how to setup tags you can see Google's article here.

Some of the most common use cases you can use GTM with Subbly are listed below:

  1. setting up universal tracking (which is already possible by setting up Google Analytics app inside Subbly)
  2. setting up tracking by using GA4's Measurement ID
  3. using Google Optimize tool to run A/B tests on the checkout and to add/remove fields from the checkouts
  4. using GTM to track profitability and conversion rate of the Google Ads

How to connect GTM to your Subbly for conversion tracking?

Once you have tags installed and your GTM setup inside your Google admin, it becomes very easy to connect it with Subbly. All that you need to do is grab the container ID which you can find on home page of your GTM admin as displayed below...

... and make sure to paste the container ID in the appropriate field inside the Google Tag Manager app on your Subbly's admin App Store.

Enable, save and you're done!
