How to enable 3DS confirmation step at checkout?
3D Secure (3DS) requires customers to complete an additional verification step with the card issuer when paying. Learn how to activate it.
Now that the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulations on European countries have been fully rolled out, the 3D Secure (3DS) confirmation step on checkout has become mandatory.
What is this about?
Subbly’s checkout is built in a way in which subscribers will save the card before the actual charge happens, even though some charges are actually planned for a future date. Thus, the 3DS displays a 0.00 amount, which may confuse some customers.
To avoid confusion, we’ve added an optional message that warns subscribers that the 3DS step will display a 0.00 amount, which is expected, and there is nothing to worry about as there won't be any charge upon that point of the checkout process.
To enable the optional message go to your advanced settings found here, and enable the following toggle.
At checkout, customers will be presented with the following message regarding 3DS displaying a 0.00 amount.
