Setting up Chartmogul

If you need more in-depth analytics tracking from what is already offered on our dashboard already, you can make sure to integrate with Chartmogul. Chartmogul is an analytics platform developed to help subscription businesses derive intelligent insights and a deeper understanding with the use of real-time metrics and meaningful analytics.

How to connect Subbly with Chartmogul?

In order to establish the connection between the two platforms, make sure to sign up for the Chartmogul account from here.

In order to properly connect Subbly to Chartmogul you will need to grab 2 things from your Chartmogul admin:

  1. API Key and
  2. Data Source ID (UUID)

Where to get API Key?

If you're using Chartmogul for the first time, you will need to firstly create the unique API Key by following the information found in the article here. As per Chartmogul's instructions, you can extract/find the API Keys which were already created from inside your Chartmogul customer portal by navigating over to Profile > View Profile and than scroll down to the bottom where you'll find the list of created API Keys.

Once you've copied the appropriate key, go back to clipboard on your Subbly admin and navigate to App Store here. Click on Install and configure beneath the Chartmogul app.

Copy the API key in appropriate field as shown in the picture below.

How to get Data Source UUID?

In order to get this one go back to your Chartmogul admin, click on the Data Platform tab and choose to Add a source as in the picture below:

This will bring up the list of data sources from where you'll need to choose Subbly.

After declaring the name for the new data source (Subbly should be an obvious name) make sure to click on the little gear icon right beside the name of the new data source on your Chartmogul admin...

...and copy the UUID you will see there...
