Setting up Drip

As per the popular demand, we introduced integration with Drip, which you can now directly connect with your Subbly. Read on to find out how you should connect the two.

How to connect Subbly with Drip?

Note that Subbly is not to be found on the Drip integrations tab. In order to connect the two you will need to follow the steps explained in this article, trying to find Subbly in the Drip admin and to connect it to Subbly won't work.

Given that you already have a working Subbly account, in order to integrate with Drip, you need to create a Drip account as well (if you don't already have one).

So, the steps to integrate should be the following:

  • create an account with Drip if you don't already have one (and hey, they also offer a 14 days of free trial)
  • once on the Drip dashboard, click on the three dots on the top right corner of the screen to bring up the settings, and than choose Account
  • you will see the Account ID if you scroll to the bottom, you will need to copy that one
  • now go back to the Integrations on your Subbly admin, find Drip application, open it and copy the Account ID in the appropriate field as in the picture below.
  • now go back to the Drip admin > Settings > User Settings in order to copy the API token you'll find there
  • run one more round back to the Subbly admin to include the API token there.
  • toggle Enabled, Save, and you're done.

You won't need to include any tracking code or JS snippet to your Subbly site. This will be sufficient for the integration.

What are we passing to Drip?

By connecting Subbly with Drip, all customer information from the checkout and when the orders are created will be automatically passed to your Drip admin.

You will see information associated with customer's name, address, phone number, product he/she is subscribed to, number of orders created, LTV of the customer (this metric is calculated by Drip directly, not Subbly), and similar things.

For setting up automated workflows with Drip using the data parsed from Subbly, you will need to refer to Drip's help documentation about using Drip's triggers.
