Setting up HotJar integration

HotJar is a great tool to accompany apps like Google Analytics. It provides a visual representation of a user experience which you can analyze to get feedback of what exactly people are using your site for, and how they’re using it. It uses interactive heatmaps of their clicks and actions, recordings of their sessions, and gathering of their words from survey and feedback polls.

How to connect Hotjar to Subbly?

Since the HotJar application generates a tracking code inside the dashboard, the only thing you need regarding installation on our platform is to copy it inside the conversion tracking code here.

As for the HotJar app itself, you can follow the guide here or continue down below:

  • Go to your Sites list.
  • Click on the Tracking Code button for the Site you want to track.
  • Copy to clipboard and paste inside the conversion tracking section on Subbly.

Once you have added the Hotjar Tracking Code to your site, you will need to wait a few minutes for Hotjar to check if it is installed correctly. This usually happens the moment your site is loaded with the Hotjar code on it, but there can be a delay before it shows as "Active".

Once Hotjar has detected the Tracking Code on your site, the Site Dashboard will show a notice on your Recent Team Activity like the one below:
