Setting up Flodesk (through Zapier)

Setting up Flodesk has never been easier and more streamlined then when using it with Zapier. All you need to is go over a few setup steps and the process will be automated and hands free.


What are the requirements for setting this up on Subbly?

The setup is actually pretty simple. The only requirement beforehand is to set up your connection on Subbly with Zapier as it's integral in automating the entire process. Please refer to this guide here, on step-by-step instructions.

After you've completed the first step, next requirement is creating an account in Flodesk. They have the option of using a free trial for 30 days, so there's plenty of time in testing the app out and seeing if it's useful to your business.

Since we don't have any direct integration with Flodesk, the connection will be handled via the zapier integration as shown in the article here.


How to setup Flodesk with Zapier?

1. First thing in creating a workflow is having a trigger from Subbly. In the example below, most common one when adding a new customer to your Flodesk list is a customer created which will take all the necessary info like First name, Last name and an email address.

2. You will be prompted the test the trigger out and it will take an example customer from your store (or create a test one if there aren't any present yet).



3. After testing the trigger and getting the necessary info, the next step is connecting your Flodesk account and creating a similar trigger (create/update subscriber) as shown below:

This will populate the info gathered from Subbly and input it in your list in Flodesk.


4. Next step is to simply map the required fields, so the zap populates the right fields and the info will be added directly to your Flodesk list.

The triggers and actions can vary quite a bit but this is a simple starting point which you can use to create different triggers as well.

5. Only thing left to do at this point is simply to enable your zap as shown below and you're all set!
