Can I use Subbly for POS sales?

Jun Hyeok Yang Updated by Jun Hyeok Yang

Point of sale (POS) is the spot where your customer makes the payment for goods or services that are offered by your company.

What is a POS?

POS system is a computerized network that consists of the main computer linked with several checkout terminals and supported by different hardware features starting from barcode scanners and ending with card payment terminals.

Unfortunately, POS payments are not currently supported at Subbly due to the nature of the technology at hand. As much as we'd love to incorporate this option, it's not something that's viable on our platform at the moment.

POS options are really useful when selling your product for example at fairs, markets, and such.

Even though we don't have any option for direct POS as mentioned above, there is still a way to use Subbly for selling directly at the POS.

What's the solution?

The way the customers can sign up to your Subbly account at such events is through direct signing using a mobile or tablet device. They'll simply need to create an account directly on the device (like they would in their own home) and it will interact in the same way.

When doing so, make sure to always set the device to an incognito mode or to not save any preferences, in other words, logging out after each user (in order to prevent users from overriding each other credentials).

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to the customer support team 24/7.
