Site Settings App

Welcome to the Site Settings App, where you can manage all the major site settings in one place. This is yet another step to building an authentic website.

Getting started

In order to find your Site Settings, you will need to open your dashboard first.

Not to waste time, let's move to your ‘Dashboard’ from the panel to the left and click the ‘Site Settings’ icon.

You'll find two sets of settings here: Basic and Code Injection.

Basic Settings

Site Offline - Enable the Offline option if you don't want your site visitors to see your website until it's all set.

Site Versioning - If you have your custom domain connected to your site on Subbly, enabling this option will give you a kind of staging environment where you'll be able to make changes to your site without the changes actually going live. If you want the changes to go live, make sure to Publish them

Site Caching - Major reduction in the server lag! When enabled, it will automatically save the data of your website to ensure fast loading times for the next entries.

Site Name - As you can see, editing your site name along with how it looks like is possible through this App as well.

Site Name Separator in Titles - Another thing to look at is the “Site Name Separator in Titles” setting. You can select between “-”, “/” and “|” symbols as the separator.

From here you can change the language you and visitors see on your website. There are two language settings you can control separately:

  • Language of the Edit mode
  • Public Mode Language Detection

Language of the Edit mode - The edit mode language is what you see when you log in and edit your site, like the words in the Dashboard and on the panel to the left.

Tablet Mode Display - Mobile view is set by default to be presented on the tablet view for your site, however you can change this setting from here so it actually displays the desktop view instead.

Timezone - You can also set your timezone, which is automatically set in accounts upon website creation. It can be useful when working with Elements such as Countdown as the Timezone of your Website can affect the timing of your Elements.

This setting does not affect billing of your customers! Please note that you are able to set the timezone of your admin from here. This setting really only refers to the Countdown element used on the website builder.

Logo - This is, obviously, your website's main logo, while the Small one will be used for smaller screens like phones or tablets. To change it, move your mouse to the Logo/Small Logo area and click the Change button.

Favicon - It is the tiny icon that appears on your browser tab next to the site name.

Drag or browse the desired image and don't forget to click the ‘Save’ button after having made all the changes.

Mobile Touch Icon - This is where you can add/upload the logo for your site for the mobile UI.

Code Injection

Subbly also allows you to add custom HTML from the Code Injection section. This will help with adding tracking to the actual site's pages or with initializing the custom JS you want added to your pages (perhaps adding a pop up that will appear on the site load or something similar..).

You can also add CSS and Javascript code to your website, assuming that they are within the HTML tags.

Fill the appropriate fields with the desired tags and click Save.

For simpler integration with the likes of Facebook Pixel or Google Analytics, you should look into directly integrating with these services through the App Store panel.

Please note that changes will go active only once you've connected a custom domain to your Subbly website.
