Set Up a Custom Email Sending Domain

Add a custom domain to the notification emails sent to your customers.

Merchants on the Max or Enterprise plans can configure a custom email domain so transactional emails are sent from their own custom email domain (such as: notifications@yoursite.com), instead of Subbly's default email domain (merchant-notifications@subbly.co).

Configuration and setup

  1. Open Settings → Sending domain.
  2. Add your domain and choose the sender address that customers will see.
  3. Add the required DNS records to your domain's DNS records.
  4. Check the domain again after the records are added.
The page shows whether the domain is pending, verified, of failed.

Additional notes

Regular customer notifications and transactional automation emails can use the custom sender address. Critical emails continue to use Subbly's sender so delivery can fall back safely.

Your own Postmark or SendGrid setup takes precedence. Removing the domain returns ordinary email to Subbly's sender. Downgrading to a plan without this feature also removes the custom sending domain.
